BTC's Chris Kottra Now President of ICRI Chicago Chapter

Building Technology Consultants, Inc. (BTC) is pleased to announce that Christopher Kottra, PE, CCCA is President of the Chicago Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI Chicago Chapter). Mr. Kottra’s term as president runs through 2017. As president, he is the principal elected officer of the organization and presides at all meetings of the membership, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee. ICRI Chicago Chapter has approximately 100 members that include engineers, contractors, and material representatives/distributers. Mr. Kottra has been a member of ICRI since 2012 and served on the Board of Directors since 2013 as a Director, Secretary, and Vice President during that time.

ICRI’s mission is to be a leading resource for education and information to improve the quality of repair, restoration and protection of concrete and other structures in accordance with consensus criteria. Mr. Kottra’s goals to advance this mission in ICRI’s Chicago Chapter, include the following:

  1. The implementation of a new website and management software to help organize tasks and improve communication throughout the chapter.
  2. Cross-market ICRI with other organizations.
  3. Increase committee participation from general membership.
  4. Achieve “Top Chapter” Recognition (ICRI national recognizes local chapters for their achievements in the industry.  ICRI’s Chicago Chapter routinely receives “Outstanding Chapter” recognition, but has not recently garnered the Top Chapter award).
